Biannual Health Screen
Unlike us, pets do not age at the same rate as we do. According to some studies, the equivalent of a single human year could be up to 15 years for your dogs and cats!
Knowing this, it is clear that there are many changes that occur in your pet’s life during the course of one human year. For this reason, we believe that it is important that your pets receive regular health screens so that we can identify any health issues that may be developing, and intervene early if appropriate.
The benefits of regular health screens include:
- Enabling early detection of disease.
- Staying up to date vaccinations and preventatives.
- Building a strong bond and familiarity between your pet and our vets.
At our practice, we recommend that your pets are seen by one of our vets once every 6 months. During the consult, our vets will perform a thorough clinical exam and advise you on the necessary actions required to keep your pet in tip-top condition.
After your pet has been assessed, we may recommend:
- Lifestyle or dietary changes.
- Dental treatment (Learn more about dentistry here).
- Additional diagnostics.
By making these routine visits a priority, you are proactively investing in your pet’s long-term health and well-being, ensuring they receive the necessary care, attention, and preventive measures they need to live a happy and healthy life.
